I have always been surprised that even the informed here on DU commonly forget that important fact. Powell is every bit as insidious, every bit as dangerous, as the nest of vipers currently in power. Hell, just look to the "Powell Doctrine" if you need more proof.

And women. Even though Powell jumped ship, he stayed aboard for four years, and played Bush's charade before the UN. I hope none of Bush's closest appointees ever again hold public office.

14. That's exactly what I thought when I heard him tonight

especially when he was defending the positions he obviously disagreed with. There's no way he was going to spill anything on the Daily Show, he's just too skilled.

15. Yeah, I thought maybe he had come around a bit

and would discuss his differences with Bush and the reasons he got out. But he never once gave a hint that he was other than a firm supporter of bush.

Crimes against humanity! Mai Lie, Gulf War and now Iraq. How many babies have been incinerated under his leadership? He comes off as some kind of nice guy leader that the Bush crime family scapgoated. That they did repeatedly shows how desperate opportunist like Powell are to be allowed to stay in the main house, no matter how they or their people are treated. He is not a hero. How the hell does a lifer military guy get enough money to buy anything other than a big RV? He can't have made much money in his military career. Did he have a second job at a fast food place or something?
