Wasn't A Judge Supposed To Be Voted Down Re: Filibuster Deal?
Seems to me when they announced the deal that Lindsay Graham said that "not all of the judges will be confirmed" or words to that effect. Yet the Repunks are 2-for-2 on getting judges confirmed, with Pryor next on the docket.

Now, I have to admit from a PR perspective it would have been tricky for Dems to vote Owen down -- the "woman" thing -- and almost impossible to vote down Brown -- African-American woman thing, which the Repunks would've hung them out to dry. Or at least try.

So if there is any chance for one of these judges to be turned down, it seems like Pryor would be the guy. And I'm concerned because if that wasn't part of the deal, I'll feel a LOT worse about it than if we take down at least one of those judges. One of the other minor judges won't cut it for me.

Pryor better be goin' down is all I have to say.

2. Nope, Brown, Ownen, and
Pryor were the ones that the Democrats said they would not filibuster. I think the fight begins with either Saad or Meyers. I'm just not sure how we can claim "extrordinary circumstance" with those two when we let these three right wing extremists in?

Cleveland Browns are my favorite team too. I hope Braylon Edwards works out better than Kellen Winslow Jr. did. :)

3. I've been reading up on Pryor
I didn't think it possible, but he is even MORE extreme than Owens and Brown.

We are in major trouble if they vote him in.

4. They will vote Pryor in, that was part of the deal
The real ugliness will begin this summer, when Renquist is expected to resign.

5. none of them are going down
Not a single repuke will vote against bushco. Not a one. While our side (Thanks Ben!) can't even present a unified opposition against the worst ones. No wonder people don't think highly of the Democrats, it is hard to support a group that won't stand for anything.

6. the deal was that there would be no filibuster allowed on
the first three - they would be allowed their infernal upordownvote. The other two are another matter. They can be filibustered.

7. Yes. Lindsey said that one would be voted down
Rght now, I hope that Pryor is voted down. He is worse than the other two in several ways.
