Obama says Dean 'using religion to divide'
This is from a RW news website so I can't vouch for it, but it seems to fit Obama's pattern lately.

Senator Obama Says Dean Using 'Religion to Divide'

Washington (CNSNews.com) - Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill.) criticized Democratic National Committee Chairman Howard Dean Wednesday night for using "religion to divide."

Obama told reporters gathered at the Rock the Vote awards dinner at the National Building Museum in Washington, D.C., that Dean needs to tone down his rhetoric. Dean said on Monday that the Republican Party was "pretty much a white, Christian party."

"As somebody who is a Christian myself, I don't like it when people use religion to divide, whether that is Republican or Democrat," Obama said. "I think in terms of his role as party spokesman, probably needs to be a little more careful and I suspect that is a message he is going to be getting from a number of us," Obama explained.

"We are at a time in our country's history that inclusive language is better than exclusive language," he added.

9. done and done
Barack--

I am writing to let you know i think that you should refrain from critcizing Howard Dean.

Howard Dean is the future of this party, everyone I know is so overjoyed that the Democratic leadership (Dean, and Reid) are taking a new aggressive posture against the abuses of the Republican party.

Republicans use every nasty trick in the book, including politicizing Christianity to advance thier dangerous agenda. And they need to be called on it. We can't be the weak party anymore. It is killing us.

I know you have told the DLC to take your name off thier rolls but it doesn't seem like you've given up thier tactics. Reagans golden rule applies to Democrats: never speak ill of another Democrat. Especially not the chairman of the party, who was elected by an unprecedented groundsweel of grassroots support.

The press is looking for any sign of strife in the Democratic party and you gave them a great quote to tar Dean with.

Please do not give the corporate whore press any more ammunition to use against chairman Dean.

Please look over how Ted Kennedy and Harry Reid replied to this issue. You could learn something them Mr. Freshman Senator.

Sincerly yours,
Chris Blair

3. I hope this isn't a surprise
It seems Mr. Obama actually believes in the ideals he spoke of (and most people here spoke so highly of) at the Convention last year.

7. Okay the above story came from this site .......
and here's a list of the radio programs link on that site .... http://www.townhall.com/radio/ and here is their 'hall of fame' ..... http://www.townhall.com/notables/

and here is my point ....

this story is intended to do exactly what the title of the story says ... get progressives into a cat fight amongst ourselves, and divide us, It's like someone who spreads gossip, a tale barer. It sure caused havoc in another thread earlier. Just asking you all to step back for a moment and think before starting this up again. But it's still a free country, for now anyway. Peace :)

14. I'm not sure that I disagree with Obama
If you describe the Republican Party as a "white, Christian party," you are implying that white, Christians have no place in the Democratic Party.

Granted - I haven't read the full text of Dean's comments quoted in this article - so this may not be the case at all.
