As Bush's Approval Sinks, FOX Tries To Buoy Condi Rice With Hot Air

In an article entitled Rice Noted For Her Diplomatic Flair, FOX says "When former National Security Adviser Condoleezza Rice became secretary of state, she increased her visibility abroad and her prestige at home beyond even that of her predecessor Colin Powell."

That's just not true, according to an April 14 Harris poll.

While the third paragraph in the poll's summary notes that Rice is the only cabinet member in the Bush administration "currently enjoying positive ratings" (what a surprise that FNC is showcasing her!), it also says she "is not nearly as popular as her predecessor, Colin Powell."
(snip/...)

1. Gee.........what a choice.
Like comparing pigs and hogs. Worldwide pigs have a better rating......just in case you were wondering.

Yes, comparisons based on the lowest common denominator.

3. I also think it is the times we live in. S ofS become less important
With what a Head of State wants goes around the world in sec. we hardly need Sect. of State any more. Powell seemed to see this and stayed home more. Condi is going to travel as Bush does. All the time. Vice Pres. may be running our govt. and these two are show men. I think that Bush and Co are really living in an age gone by but with the trapping of what we can do to day. I know that sounds a little mixed up but I have not really got my mind around what is really going on. The people in the GOP that rule the party seem to be going back wards for what the world is doing. I am just trying to sort it all out in my mind.ex. look at the world and education. We are falling way behind and the rest of the 'moving up' countries are moving to wards free educations all along the line and we are going in the other way. Religion is the same way. Same with military. The 'anything' goes corp. and trade are just beyond me so far.Any thoughts on this way of thinking?

6. Hmmmmmm
That's it for the good news. After that, there's a couple of paragraphs about some of her faux pas - such as faulting the French, Germans and English "hours after she welcomed a new era of transatlantic harmony in Paris" - even though she's still in the "honeymoon" stage. No mention of her Freudian slip about calling Bush her husband, though.
