6. I think they blamed Bush for the attempted coup
which removed their democratically elected Chavez from power, temporarily.

Not really anything to do with Iraq, although the oil policy is a bit involved.

7. They hate Bush, not Americans, for recognizing Pedro Carmona's brief rule
He is an industrialist who lead the overthrow of the democratically elected government of Chavez and dissolved the legislature. Bush extended diplomatic recognition to his government even though he was essentially a dictator.
