Dean gets to make his comments that fire up the base. Meanwhile, Ford gets to distance himself from the national party in a high profile way that will help him get votes in Tennesee. Ehh I'm just throwing this possibility out there. I know that most people will disagree.

1. Maybe Ford thinks that...
but he's lost my vote unless he does some major backtracking.

We've already got a Republican for a Senator in Tennessee. Another one isn't going to change anything at all.

2. I don't think there is a grand plan. Dean is just being Dean
for better of worse, the guy speaks his mind and it's unfiltered. I dig it.

3. Hey...good for Dean and Good for Ford...
Personally, I think it's great that Dean and Ford can express opposite views on things. It proves the point. Democrats are all inclusive. You don't have to talk one way or no way like the GOP.

But then I'm probably one of the few around here who happens to like Harold Ford and Joe Biden and I would never in a million years consider myself a Repub. I complain about them almost every day.

I like to believe our party is a big tent and not a limited one.

4. I don't disagree ...

I would go further and suggest a lot of this hand-wringing being done over the various comments made about Dean by certain party members is pointless and misplaced. All of this, to one degree or another, is planned.

5. There is a chance
that if I start buying lottery tickets it will make me rich.

I'll pass...
