The DSM and Santa Maria
Friday it was suggested that the DSM should of been brought up at the MJ media circus
and why someone should protest there. Since I live here these are my thoughts on it.

I have arthritis and standing down town would have been impossible. But I should have tried I know. The town is relatively conservative and I have lived here for only two years.

I am working politically on the state and local scene plus what I can supply on DU.
I did help bring up some of the memo info on this site.

I thought the idea of protesting was good, but if you knew the area would be difficult
to come in on in the manner that it was suggested in such short time. I did check out over the weekend the possibility but decided against it.

My feeling also since it was such a zoo downtown, that to do a LOCAL statement on and in that enviroment on the DSM that it would have been another part of the circus event here and would not have dignified the seriousness of how I feel and others feel about the minutes.

I am not opposed to guerrilla theater,( which I think is extremely effective) but physically I am no longer able to substain what was needed for that for 6 hours, you would have had to have a place semi reserved in the MJ supporter crazy area( where media attention occurred at the courthouse)

We will get this memo out but on a rational, logical, effective propaganda means
and not in the circus of MJ....
I would want to take it to the level of justice,
that our laws
and history of this country and world
has spoken of
and give it the respect and dignity
that the people of Iraq,
the ones that have lost lives,
the United States
and the World
would ask that it so justly deserves.
The truth and real justice should never be marginalized
at the expense of the lives either of our own beliefs or own or others existence.
Life is too precious for us to be so pretentious as that.

PLEASE NO COMMENTS ON THE MJ TRIAL ON THIS THREAD
