Can I get some links describing Kerry's economic record in Massachusetts?
Edited on Mon Dec-22-03 04:21 PM by Paragon
I'm looking specifically for the cuts he made in various social programs. Anything on the tax breaks he handed out would also be appreciated.

:D

It's a bitch when it cuts both ways, isn't it?

1. Was Kerry ever a state legislator?
I'm not up on his biography.

2. No, he wasn't
he was Massachusetts Lt. Governor before his life as a Senator. This is just someone's lame attempt to rebut a question about Dean.

3. Kerry is a U.S. Senator.
He can't give tax cuts and tax increases. He cannot cut social programs. Which record are you referring to? His amazing environmental record. His long standing battle for civil rights? His massive foreign policy record? Or about when he busted Ollie North and almost helped bring down reagan and Bush.

11. what enviromental record
if he can't have done the first part of your post he can't have done the second. I think he has a great record on the enviroment but then he also is responsible for the votes he made in other areas too.

4. He served as prosecutor and lieutenant governor
before being a senator...those positions aren't likely to hand out tax breaks to anyone.

Is there a point to this thread?

6. He asked for specific information and people could easily counter it if
untrue.

There's a difference between asking for someone's actual record and posting a thread with no basis in fact...I suggest you massage his IWR vote further for an informed backlash :D

8. Here's a link for him:
http://www.google.com/

Any subsequent post he makes on Dean's economic record will be redundant -- he just said all he has to. Yes, Dean is the anti-Christ. Thank you for stopping by.

*yawn*

7. I'm an undecided guy from MA
Edited on Mon Dec-22-03 04:28 PM by Caution
and even i think your question is nonsense...Kerry has done nothing but good for my state. He is a fantastic Senator and a man I'm proud to have as my rep. I disagreed with his war vote but in 20+ years of service that is one of the only times I have disagreed with him. Kerry is a man of honor and distinction in my opinion and I would have no problem with him as my president. My vote may go to Dean over Kerry only because I'm desperate to get rid of Bush and Dean seems to be the guy who is most able to energize the electorate at this time.

During Kerry's tenure Massachusetts was one of the biggest beneficiaries of the Clinton economic boom. MA is a hotbed of technology and many of us did very well during this time. Massachusetts has also reaped the economic benefits of the Big Dig project (which will continue to provide huge benefits going forward as room opens up in parts of boston for new business in very desirable locations).

On Edit: I love the credit card picture!

9. If it did cut like that, it would indeed be a bitch
But since it doesn't, according to the record, I guess you're out of luck.

12. This is a dupe, and violates DU rules.
You can't start a new thread, just to continue a flame war.

13. Not a dupe.
Changed a couple of words and made an entirely new point.

15. Ever wonder why the mods don't endorse a candidate?
It would be pretty irresponsible, someone with that much influence, don't you think? Read into that as you will.
