Audio file from the World Tribunal on Iraq
First my thanks to understandinglife for posting the information and link to the World Tribunal on Iraq http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=104x3931759 Post 40.

I was blown away but it wasn't until near the end that I searched and found a program that would record the audio on my PC.

The is the Q&A from today's last session:
Third Session / The Accountability of the Media (Moderator: Φmer Madra)

16:30 – 16:50 Saul Landau: Economic-Political Connections of Media
16:50 – 17:10 David Miller: Media Wrongs in the War and Occupation
17:10 – 17:30 Witness - Mete Ηubukηu: Moral Responsibility of War Journalism
17:30 – 17:50 Jayan Nayar: Media Wrongs against Truth and Humanity
17:50 – 18:10 Φmer Madra: The Quest for an Alternative Media
18:10 – 18:30 Questions from the Jury

The mp3 file is 20.1 mb and I'm putting it here the only way I know how (but I'm open to suggestions as to how I can do it better).

Be patient cause you won't be disappointed - most of it is in English even though it starts out with a translator.

http://www.worldtribunal.org/main/?b=1 is the link. It's a 3 day program that started today.

3. I'm so surprised that noone has listened to this ...
it's incredible stuff and also talks about what the journalists in Iraq really go through if they don't support the administration. Oh well ... sigh and all that.

5. Hope springs eternal!
Went to WTI > Critical Mass Radio looking for something streaming without success, so this is much appreciated since I'm too stupid to figure out all this media player stuff. Looks like Arundhati Roy opened this session 6/23 and there is a transcript of her abstract, but would love to have heard her.
I feel certain they'll be pre-empting all the weekend sports to cover this, so maybe I don't have to fret about my media player incompetence, huh?

Thanks for this!!
