New Flash: There is no war on terrorism
For anyone who hasn't noticed yet, that is not what the US is doing. For one thing there seems to be a mysterious lack of will to find Bin Laden, but beyond that the CIA just committed an act of terrorism in Italy

According to the Russians the US has been meeting with terrorists in Uzbeckistan

9/11 suspects were set free by Germany because the US wouldn't allow access to witness at Gitmo

What is going on is the same thing that has been going on since WWII, propping up those who can help US interests (regardless of their methods, ideologies, or tactics) and fighting those who have different interests (regardless of their methods, ideologies or tactics). It's that simple, same as before 9/11 - nothing has changed.

1. One thing has changed --
-- the level of agression and assertion the US permits itself.

4. I don't think the level has changed much either
They're just not ashamed, or trying to hide their motives anymore. Typical of true sociopaths.

5. They are also using more US troops
and fewer foreign mercenaries as in Nicaragua.

11. Seems to me congress forbid the use of US troops in Nicaragua
Didn't stop them from flying "support" missions, I know.

2. some of us have been saying this for the last several years...
The "war on terror" is a scam, a smokescreen for U.S. imperialism abroad and a security state at home. Every time a politician utters this phrase he or she is lying. The WOT is a marketing vehicle for totalitarianism, and nothing more. Amerikans who support the WOT are supporting facism.

6. I agree...every time I talk to a freeper
I want to stand in front of them with pictures of dead, mutilated Iraqi civilians and say "This is what you voted for. This is what you said you wanted."

3. One thing to change
propping up those who can help CORPORATE interests (regardless of their methods, ideologies, or tactics)

7. This should be the biggest indicator to the brain-blessed that OBL is CIA
and al'Qaida is a CIA front

Understanding this leads to the logical conclusion that 9/11 was a US/CIA operation, but unfortunately too many are too blind to make the connection.

8. There is no war because there is no...
big terrorism threat. That's the conclusion I've come to.

Of course, there ARE terrorists who are a threat to this country and others.
But that situation has been in existance for decades. If it has gotten
worse, it is because of post 9/11 US aggression abroad. It was predicted
for decades that the US would experience a major terrorist attack, and
needed to take precautions. 9/11 happened because we didn't take
those precautions.

Bushco has exploited to the max the average American's ignorance about
terrorism. And it keeps on working because of media colusion.

10. Terrorism is a tactic
you cannot have a war against a tactic because any person, anywhere on the globe may decide to adopt that tactic at any point, it's like having a 'war on people who decide to take a walk'

12. A very important point....
that gets lots in the fog of McMedia information designed simple for the
simple-minded.

In a sane world, we would have major media educational efforts made to
inform the public whenever war was is declared as to who we are fighting,
and why we are fighting them.

Of course, most wars are not fought for the official reasons.

13. it's not just academic...
like bill moyers/jon stewart said on 'the daily show' last week, it's as if they're trying to destroy truth, or create conditions where literally any insanity 'makes sense'...
basically, the USA has been undergoing a conquest of itself by criminal (hi-faluting criminals, maybe, but crooks all the same) orgazations with a blackmailer's confidence that 'law'n'order' won't be a problem to them: the jfk assasination remains a ??? and there are too many friedmans, woodwards, posners, limbah-humbugs, orallys, anus coulters (btw didya hear ann coulter's bowels only move about every 2 weeks, as reported by fox'news'?!) peter jennings, tom brocawcaws, brite hums, don imusts, andrea greenspans and so on ad nazism, trying to shore up the big lie that ONI (office of naval intelligence) active duty agent lee harvey oswald didit....the US owes the Oswald family a fortune just in salary, as the kid was murdered while on duty by the same ENEMY who murdered the president! Things have certainly gotten worse since then....

btw geebush has purrformed one valuable service: he's exposed the fundamental dishonesty that mass media has always promoted, even before gee and the gang came along to 'kill the golden goose'....
unforunately, the mediawhore not only tells the herd what to think, but it tells them what it thinks it thinks IT THINKS IT THINKS!
>also, the 'US' is an honourable nation trying hard to preserve dignity etc....the bush criminals and the goofballs in the natsec apparatus who've conspired to control aren't the 'US'!... in deed, they are probably the worst enemy the "US' has ever confronted!
