Escalating hateful rhetoric from Republicans: getting out of control?
Edited on Mon Jun-27-05 08:53 PM by Julius Civitatus
I just posted this horrendous photo of a right-wing bumper-sticker in my block. It's truly beyond words:

Bumper Sticker: "Liberal Hunting Permit"

First they came for the "Libruls".... indeed. This is where Rove and their minions are taking us. Is the anti-liberal talk getting out of control? How long until we start fearing for our physical integrity?
This is getting downright scary!

:grr:

1. We're getting down to being able to sort the knuckle draggers from the
hominids without having to work at it now. They're just coming out of the woodwork and out from under their rocks in droves, aren't they?

5. I mean, that's a call for "hunting liberals". Pure Fascism talking!
That's the rhetoric of pure, unadulterated Fascism, calling for the "hunting" or lynching of those they disagree with.

WTF?

3. It's been scary for a very long time
Unanswered hate radio started Hitler off, started Bosnia and Kosovo off, and was responsible for the carnage in Rwanda.

Hate radio kills, eventually. The fact that it's finally being answered by AAR may be too little, too late. Hate radio is being echoed from most pulpits. It's all a very large segment of the population ever hears, just the steady drumbeat of hate, hate, hate.

A priority for a returning congress MUST BE the reinstitution of the Fairness Doctrine. Our nation depends on it.

discussed killing Michael Moore during one of his radio shows. I was basically told that this was free speech and to just get over it.

6. If they were really itchin' for a fight, they'd be overseas.
They could carry automatic weapons all day and all night.

They could kill people and not go to jail.

They could let their hate-freak flag fly.

But, they don't enlist. They are wussies.

If it goes hot here, they won't have a chance.

7. Their hateful rhetoric is a barometer of their fears. Let them hate. Let
what they fear the most meet them halfway.

9. That bumper-sticker is indicative of a sick mind.
Sick, macho bravado ... probably whiskey-talk, but potentially very dangerous. I'd steer clear of that nut-case. My guess is that a few bought this despicable sticker, but far fewer are sufficiently alcohol and/or syphilis addled to display it. However, as always, verb sap!

Their "boy" .. birds of a feather!

11. This is what happens when you let right wing hate go unchecked.
It's how most tyrants get into power. They get some redneck Moran to blindly follow their hate. That said, I would not save that car from falling over a cliff.

That's what these suck skunking punks are doing by becoming so horribly ignorant. They should be more afraid of liberals AND conservatives after the actions of their leader.....

15. I heard my neighbors talking about gettin' their guns
and killin' liberals years and years ago at a town hall meeting with our House Representative. A woman with a German accent sitting next to me finally stood and expressed her outrage. I was physically shaking. Like I said, that was long ago, about 1993.

Rush Limbaugh has been advocating the "elimination" of liberals for, what, 15 years? The MSM has never said a word about Limbaugh's hate; in fact they lauded him. For example, Steve (Mr. Cokie) Roberts wrote in 'US News' that Limbaugh gets his facts right. Limbaugh was on 'News Hour,' 'Nightline,' and Tim Russert hosts a yearly Thanksgiving interview with him. :puke:

Limbaugh spawned hundreds of local hate cheerleaders, and here we are.......

Hate radio spawned and unspeakable tragedy. I shudder to think what Limbaugh and his wannabe's would like to do.

17. Limbaugh is very specific.
He espouses 'getting rid of liberals' while leaving a few (like specimens in a zoo) as examples to society of 'what not to be.'

"Feminazis" would certainly fit his final solution also.

Duh, we just want to keep them out of the hands of irresponsible, immature, sexually repressed whackos who are plagued by magical thinking and rampant penis envy...AKA, the republican party!:wtf:

21. Oh word....
YOu know, i would match ignorace with ignorance, but that tactic usually doens't solve anything, but seeing a bumper sticker like thats makes me want to be a little ignorant to the RW. I don't understand the mentality really, but its basically ignorance, salted with superiority, and feelings of knowing everything. Throw in some guns, some keystone light, and damn its a dangerous mix.
