Failed Diplomacy

Nothing has changed with the Bush Administration's talking points, and nothing is exactly what the speech was about Tuesday night. Stability is no closer, deaths are mounting--more than 90% of American causualities have occurred after "Mission Accomplished."

We got into this war based on lies and it's time to get out. We need an exit plan grounded with reality, not the repeated rosy platitudes of Bush policies. Forget the 14 permanent bases we have built in Iraq; they do not want us there--we are an occupying force for American empire, serving our own needs and not the Iraqis. Bush insisted on an exit timetable for Clinton's Kosovo conflict in 1999: how is Bush's pre-emptive war of choice exceptional?
