Kerry Revs Up N.H. Campaign, Says Dean 'Flip-Flops'
John Kerry, riding high in the polls two days before New Hampshire's crucial primary, went on the offensive on Sunday, accusing one of his main rivals, former Vermont Gov. Howard Dean, of "flip-flops."

Targeting the large number of still-undecided voters, Kerry did the rounds on the Washington TV talk shows and then went out on the frigid streets of Merrimack, New Hampshire, where he canvassed door to door.

The Massachusetts senator charged Dean with "flip-flops" on major issues, including taxes and foreign policy, and said one strength of his own candidacy was the "consistency of my positions."

He was responding to questions from David and Diana Frothingham, neighborhood residents who said they had not yet made up their minds between Kerry and Dean.

1. And lightning didn't strike him?
Kerry 'nuances', while Dean 'flips flops'.

5. Since Kerry is the master at flip flopping
He should sure a hell know it when he See's it. But In Deans case he is wrong again which doesn't surprise me.

6. wow
can you spell hypocrite? Cause I'm not sure I just did that right. In any case Kerry is the master at flip-flopping on the biggest of issues. I try to stick to being positive about Dean and keeping away from kerry, but this is just bullshit.

8. Why's he trying to put the nail in Dean's coffin? He's better off if Dean
Edited on Sun Jan-25-04 07:11 PM by AP
beats Clark and Edwards.

Could Dean be so close that Kerry feels the need to address him?

10. I think there's something to what you said there.
However, he has been hitting Clark and Clark is nowhere near him so I don't know. Bear in mind, these guys do have internal polls that are better than independent polls.

11. very interesting point
since Dean has pretty much made it clear he is in for at least the mid term and has money he should be going after Clark and Edwards.

12. If you read the article, it says

"He was responding to questions from David and Diana Frothingham, neighborhood residents who said they had not yet made up their minds between Kerry and Dean."

so that's why he was talking about Dean. Because voters asked him.

17. Well, I certainly would say the story is exaggerated
and no doubt highly deceptive. I just kind of assume that about everything I read, silly cynical me.
