Email/Call Fox News NOW! Watch the video of their remarks on London attack
Let Fox News hear from all of us about the senseless remarks they said this morning during the breaking news of the London attacks!!! Let's get these morons fired!!!

From MediaMatters

http://mediamatters.org/items/200507070005

The following exchange between Fox News host Brian Kilmeade and Fox News business contributor and substitute host Stuart Varney occurred during breaking news coverage of the attacks on London subways and buses on the July 7 edition of Fox News' Fox & Friends:

KILMEADE: And he made the statement, clearly shaken, but clearly determined. This is his second address in the last hour. First to the people of London, and now at the G8 summit, where their topic Number 1 --believe it or not-- was global warming, the second was African aid. And that was the first time since 9-11 when they should know, and they do know now, that terrorism should be Number 1. But it's important for them all to be together. I think that works to our advantage, in the Western world's advantage, for people to experience something like this together, just 500 miles from where the attacks have happened.

VARNEY: It puts the Number 1 issue right back on the front burner right at the point where all these world leaders are meeting. It takes global warming off the front burner. It takes African aid off the front burner. It sticks terrorism and the fight on the war on terror, right up front all over again.

KILMEADE: Yeah.

I just emailed them with my displeasure. Let's all email or call them!!!

1. Brian Kilmeade is a sports reporter who doesn't know shit.
He covered sports until Fox thought he was so smart he could be on their vapid morning "news" show.

---------------------------------------------

I am APPALLED at the exchange between Fox News host Brian Kilmeade and Fox News business contributor and substitute host Stuart Varney this morning regarding the bombings in London.

Fox News is not known for fairness or balance but, folks, you've hit a new low with this display of callous chortling over the prospect of the British people being dragged into supporting Bush/Blair's illegal war in Iraq through the fear they must now feel after being attacked in such a manner.

You should be ashamed, Kilmeade and Varney should be fired!!!

Edited on Thu Jul-07-05 10:13 PM by zulchzulu
...about the attacks.

The timing of this attack with the G8 Summit and impending questions about the Downing Street Minutes strikes me historically as just a little TOO convenient.

PNAC needed another "Pearl Harbor"...and they got one. When the desparation Chimpy is in coincides with PNAC's plans being squelched by the G8 Summit and issues of hunger and global warming AND Blair's ties to Chimpy through the DSM...we can only wonder just how heartless these motherfuckers are.

...you think before you open your piehole. The subtext of that exchange is sickening and chilling.

And guess what, Kilmeade and Varney? If we DON'T seriously begin to address such issues as African aid and global warming, it's all just gonna breed more terror.

Oh...I forgot, that's EXACTLY what you and your ilk seem to want, apparently. Hope you all enjoyed the show from your plush studios yesterday -- trust me, there's a lot more to come.

18. isn't that the idea?
To make terror and USA fear the number one topic and priority on people's minds.

Forget dealing with climate change... didn't want to do that anyway.
Forget worrying too much about aid to Africa... didn't want to do much of that anyway.
Forget the Plame case and the Downing Street Memos... that -was- a bugbear, wasn't it... but now I can be the war and terra presnent again.

Sheesh.

28. LET FOX NEWS KNOW THAT YOU ARE DISGUSTED WITH LONDON COVERAGE

Just when you thought Fox News couldn't get any lower--Fox News host Brian Kilmeade and Fox News business contributor and substitute host Stuart Varney seemed to be reveling in how the bombing in London "works to our advantage". Gloating in how it puts the "war on terrorism" on the front burner and aid to Africa and global warming on the back burner.

See the Media Matters report and watch the Fox News video at this link:

http://mediamatters.org/items/200507070005

If you thought the coverage of these horrific events couldn't get lower than that--Brit Hume reacted by saying that his first reaction to hearing about the bombings in London was to look at the futures market and say to himself "hmm-time to buy".

Everyone should write in their own words..Here is my own personal E-mail/Letter:

Dear Sir/Madam

I wish to express my total disgust with the comments by Fox News host Brian Kilmeade and Fox News business contributor and substitute host Stuart Varney as they both gloated over how the horrific attacks in London works for the advantage of a particular political agenda.

I didn’t think TV coverage of such terrible events could get lower until I heard Brit Hume tell Shepherd Smith that his first thought upon hearing of the bombing was “time to buy”.

I do hope Fox News apologizes for this obscene insensitivity to human suffering.

I do hope Fox News reflects on what impression they are giving of American values as your programming is beamed around the world

I do hope Fox News remembers that there are children watching.

Sincerely,

23. #53 in Machiavelli's Discourses:
"The Populace, misled by the False Appearance of Advantage, often seeks its own Ruin, and is easily moved by Splendid Hopes and Rash Promises."

And #52 is more meaningful to us:

"The Safer and Less Scandalous Way of repressing the Arrogance of One who has risen to Power in a Republic is to forestall him in the Methods he uses to come by this Power."

25. What does he mean by "first time"???
Edited on Fri Jul-08-05 09:19 AM by Julius Civitatus
This bullying frat guy they have in Fox News morning freak-show said the following:

KILMEADE: And he made the statement, clearly shaken, but clearly determined. This is his second address in the last hour. First to the people of London, and now at the G8 summit, where their topic Number 1 --believe it or not-- was global warming, the second was African aid. And that was the first time since 9-11 when they should know, and they do know now, that terrorism should be Number 1. But it's important for them all to be together. I think that works to our advantage, in the Western world's advantage, for people to experience something like this together, just 500 miles from where the attacks have happened.

"First time" since 9-11? What are we to infer from that comment? That Spain is not part of western civilization? That the terrorist attacks of March 2004 in Madrid, which murdered 190 people and injured over 1000, were not important at all? That it only matters when anglo-saxons get killed? How about Bali?

Somehow I suspect that for Kilmeade and his ilk, it's only meaningful when it involves white anglo-saxon people. The rest of the planet is "less important" for ethnocentric clowns like himself.

This reminds me of the coverage of the pan-Asian tsunami last winter. Most of the stories covered by the American MSM focused almost exclusively on white Americans stranded or affected by the tsunami. The more than 200,000 Asians killed by that catastrophe were nothing but "exotic backdrop" for their shallow news stories.

:grr:
