911 scare tactic. He used it multiple times in his speech and was criticized for it by the 911 families on down. With his poll numbers not getting a bounce - what do we do - they pondered.

Well conveniently - the "London Terror Attacks" as coined by a number of the network news desks.

Now the *Co and the RW talking heads can say:

See - Abu Gharab is justified - we have to torture these people because we need info to prevent these types of attacks

See - Lying about WMD is justified - we had to fight the war there so we don't have to fight it here; our fighting men and women are dying for a noble cause

See - Outting a CIA agent is justified - we can't let the truth get in the way of fighting this war

See - the $'s we're spending is justified, etc, etc, etc

With the attacks of this a.m. - all of a sudden - everything they have done is justified - because we have to prevent future attacks like the one we had this a.m in London.

They don't have to say or use 911 again - they now have a new and more current excuse.

7/7 happened because bush and blair went into Iraq illegally and bombed innocents and are now trying to occupy the country. The insurgents want us ..we've done enough damage there.

We predicted this would happen and now it's happening..I don't care how they lie about it..it won't help to thwart future attacks to pretend that this is anything other than what it is.

only prove that nothing bush/blair have done to date has been effective in preventing terrorist attacks. These bombings could have happened in any major city anywhere in the world. It only proves to me that the bush/blair policy of killing all the terrorists (there, rather than here) is not a workable plan and is simply very expensive hogwash.

There really is a network of Islamic terrorists who have decided to plan and execute attacks against targets in the West. They really exist. And from time to time, they attack. They don't give a shit about Bush's speeches, or the latest Gallup poll. They attack when the opportunity strikes them because it increases their prestige among a segment of the audience they're aiming to persuade and because it hurts their enemies and sows chaos in their enemies' countries, and across the globalized networks established by their enemies. The terrorist networks do in fact exist, and they do in fact attack. I'm starting to believe that part of the chaos they sow is the propensity of certain deranged segments of the Western nations to invent bizarre plots where there aren't any. Then again, I think the invention of bizarre plots is just a game for most of those people, while the blood pours out in rivers. Enjoy your sick, stupid game.
