My husband and many around him know what this is all about, and he has only been in Iraq for a week. They knew this in training. It is the military that is being held hostage for their monetary gain. I think this administration is the anti-christ. :grr: I hope they go down in the kind of flames they will surely see upon their deaths.

Do you see evidence that the military rank-and-file are starting to resist participating in *'s insanity? I read an interesting article (sorry, no link) that suggested that Vietnam came to an end not because of activism in the states, but because the soldiers in Vietnam cam to believe the war was wrong and started to resist/refuse taking orders that put themselves and their buddies in harm's way - not in ways that would lead to court martials but in ways that made a big difference.

When they start "fragging" soldiers, it means that they are starting to crack. Apparently, this happened in Viet Nam a lot. I don't know being 35, but he said it did. He served in the Air Force '63-'66.

My husband doesn't tell me a lot, but I get the distinct feeling that many of them are only doing their basic jobs, nothing more. I also think that they resent the growing presence of contracted people that are doing their jobs for thousands more in pay. Yeah, let's send them to a war zone and drop their morale by dangling high paid mercenaries in front of them. Makes sense, huh? :sarcasm:
