4. And the new puppet theatre...I can't wait to hear him on Plamegate...
He just point-blank asked Dana if the nomoination of SCOTUS was premature due to Rove scandal and Dana Milbanc agreed.

6. Tease. Not on yet. Jonathan Turley is on discussing Roberts who Turley
Edited on Tue Jul-19-05 07:34 PM by flpoljunkie
says was his leading "blank slate" candidate--time very short of the D.C. court, a few months.

Roberts was the author of a brief to overturn Roe v. Wade in his role as Deputy Solicitor General in 1990--altho this is not how the Washington Post put this argument.

http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/20 ...

"As Deputy Solicitor General in 1990, he argued in favor of a government regulation that banned abortion-related counseling by federally-funded family planning programs. A line in his brief noted the Bush administration's belief that Roe v. Wade should be overruled."
_______

Turley says Roberts is very bright, very talented. The controverys will be whether he was a "good lawyer representing his client" in the Roe v. Wade case mentioned above, or if he is an advocate of overturning Roe. Turley does not think this is enough to sink his nomination.

7. I am of the opinion that an extreme reaction is just what the WH wants!
Right On, Keith!!! We've got the WH on the ropes right now. When have they ever "adjusted" their game plan? They've done this to obviously deflect attention from what has those vile bastards shitting themselves. Technically, the SC won't even be up for debate for 5 weeks...wouldn't it be nice to continue the OFFENSIVE pressure and let them REMAIN on the DEFENSIVE for a change. Don't you think that would blow Rove's mind? Realistically, I never believed that he'd pick anyone moderate. Especially now. I have a big enough problem with this government being under investigation (to this degree) and still having the authority to choose a SC Justice. Those bastards OBVIOUSLY don't favor our Constitution and laws. They are a bunch of crooks.

So, I say we just take the announcement in stride and hit them hard with the evidence at hand. If we react like they expect us to react then we've given them the power again. We'll be walking right into their trap. Again. Am I making any sense?

Peace.

8. Olbermann previewing "Karl Rove Puppet Theatre."
Edited on Tue Jul-19-05 07:44 PM by flpoljunkie
Not much, but it was in a courtroom with Rove as defendant--the direction where I'd like to see this go.
