The SC "consultation" crap was yet another Rove trick.
I`ll bet just about anything that for the next week we`ll hear the media drone on and on about how Bush came to this Supreme Court decision...after deep, deep consultation with both sides of the aisle. They`ll remind us that Bush is decisive, a man of conviction and principles, but above all he wanted to be fair to the minority party, so he consulted with them...at length.

Bush went to great trouble to make sure the press would report on this fairness angle, but he didn`t fool me one bit. Bush wouldn`t embrace moderation if his life depended on it. His goal is to overturn, raze, destroy all social welfare programs, bring his God back into government where He belongs, insure the continuation of corporate America`s stranglehold on all our institutions and lawmakers. He wants to destroy unions, the ACLU, International Criminal Court and any other entities that might give voice to the powerless. His violent, despicable invasion of Iraq exemplifies just how far he`s willing to go. Bush is a dangerous, dangerous man.

1. I hope Dems look into his involvement in the Florida recounts
This smells to me like a reward for "work well done."

5. Roberts also was one of the dissenters...
... on the DC court which upheld the 2004 ruling requiring Cheney to turn over energy task force papers to the Sierra Club and Klayman (later overturned by a higher court).

But, if Roberts is the White House's pick, I wonder if David Sentelle (who's done the Bushies a lot more favors) is gnawing the furniture right now....

You've got to hand it to them, they're good. All this talk about marching... we're going to create the media diversion for them ourselves.

The question is not whether we can fight two fights; the question is whether or not the media can make two issues their top story.

The women marching will have much more drama. Traitorgate will lose.
