I'm getting pissed off at some of us here
There is no reason we have to choose between Rove or the supreme court. Both can be fought at the same time. Even if the media furor over Rove dies down in the short term, as soon as Fitz hands down the indictments it will make the past week look relaxed. The media is not going to be the deciding factor on this, Fitzgerald is. There is plenty of time to ramp up for the SCOTUS hearings. I get so sick of the victimology a lot of us have here, including myself at times. We can continue to write LTTE, keep our freiends, family and co-workers informed and put pressure on our congressional leaders to do the right thing about SCOTUS. Yes, the media and the government have not been on our side in the last 7 years but Karma is a bitch and will be unleashed on this administration soon. Keep the faith.

1. I agree all Democrats should vote NO.
But I don't think they should filibuster this one.

3. Don't worry, be happy.
Folks should calm down.

Both sides of this fight seem to have plenty of supporters. This is good.

The glass is half full.

4. Take a page from my X wife's play book
She could bitch about 10 things at once and only use 2 sentences to do it. No reason we can't do both...

5. I don't think anyone here is saying WE can't fight both at once.
I think they are talking about Rove disappearing from the TV screen. I agree, it will go away from prime time for a while, but I bet it's not going to be for very long.

Fitz isn't going to stop the investigation, and I don't think the leaks from witnesses will stop either.

6. some in Congress will say you can't do both
even though the far right will attack on several fronts at once, knowing dems will only resist half-heartedly on one.

8. We need to let them know that they should.
Write to your Reps and Senators. They need to grow balls and/or spines. The * admin doesn't compromise. Why should we?

10. I agree. it seems to be nearly impossible to shake
the Dems of this "pick your battles" bullshit.

I think they aren't so much worried about losing public support as they are corporate support or inviting active attacks on themselves.

What they don't realize is they could make an asset of both.

Great line. Let's write to our reps and pound on that.

9. I just dont get why Bush nominated Rove for the Suprme Court...
...with this scandal & all, it seems like an odd choice.

But seriously- see this take on a way to do both:
