sentiments to the person who sold out his principles to the Rs in addition to facilitating their election fraud. I seem to recall that the esteemed Mr. Nader took money from the Rs. I have no respect for him and hold him in lower regard than * even, because he knew better. So many people have suffered because of his duplicity. He did not have the support it took to win but was still willing to sell the nation out and for what? What has he and the Green Party really gained in this prolonged debacle? What has the nation lost?:

voted for Ralph it seemed the perfect moment to cast that vote of dissent.. to tell the Dems that they aren't left enough for me, AND keep my own party alive in my state. (You do know that's how ballot status and party life has to be maintained, right, by garnering a certain percentage of the vote?)

We can sit around and debate whether or not people have the right to vote the way they want.. or we can backburner this issue until after we bring down the BFEE.

I vote for the latter.

You are just as responsible as helping Bush win as Bush voters. Hiding behind, 'people have the right ot vote the way the want' certainly doesn't make me feel any better.

instead is that I voted for Kerry in the last election. Or rather I voted against Bu$h via Kerry ebcause I wasn't hearing a lot that I wanted to. (I was hoping that he was running right but would govern left. But we'll never know now.) Not only did I vote for Kerry I pushed a lot of other fellow greens toward voting for him too, on the off chance that ** might not get to steal this one.

So I am feeling bitter because I sold out my own party.. and didn't even get Kerry in return. Losing those Green votes matters where I live. We need to garner a certain percentage of the vote to remain a party. And here in Maine, where we have voluntary publicly funded elections, this means we can actually get Greens into office, so it's not just a moot exercise in screaming for chance to vote for what we want. We can actually vote for who we want and get that person into office. (To a degree. We still have to deal with the vote splitting issue even now. We came closer to getting instant runoff voting but because of the proce tag it got shot down. Again. *sigh*)
