Congress and Hypocrisy

This another post as a result of the Rachel Maddow show. Many of you know about how Congress and it seems especially Hillary Clinton have been critizing the video game Grand Theft Auto. They criticized the game because it of its violence and the secret sex game that can be unlocked during the game. As a result of this the game has been given an adult only rating which will prevent it from being sold in stores like Target.

Rachel mention that a white supremacy group also has a game out that is extremely violent. The game is calle ethic cleansing and with that name you can guess what the game is about. However, just in case you do not know what the game is about I will explain it to you. The point of the game is to go around a city that resemble New York and shot as many black, hispanics, and jews as possible. The shooter can choose to be a skin head or something else. There is also the option of wearing KKK robes. After scoring enough point the shooter is brouht to a level were they get to attempt to kill Ariel Sharon. If they are successful Sharon will say to them that they have destroyed centuries of culture or something like that. It seems that if the members of Congress are going to complain about Grand Theft Auto they should be complaining about this game also.

nor is it advertised in major print media or have television commercials shown on MTV, Spike, etc.

Ethnic Cleansing is a repulsive game and thought of anyone playing it, and enjoying it, is disgusting. But Grand Theft Auto is more accessible and better known to people. If you want others to know about EC, contact the media, your reps, etc and let it be known.
