"If you don't like what Oopsie the Clown is doing down the hall...
from Karl Rove's office you fire him."

My favorite quote from today's Dorgan/Waxman hearing/forum from Macrinkowski.

And I guess you could fire Karl Rove, too. But that's assuming you were a decisive and competent executive.

I found the event riveting.

1. Yes and Henry Waxman closed with a quote by George H.W. Bush
"I have nothing but contempt and anger for those who betray the trust by exposing the names of our sources. They are, in my view, the most insidious of traitors."

-- President George H. W. Bush (1999)

What context was Pappy Bush making that statement? Also, what will be the next step by the democrats on this matter?

2. I don't think 'Fitz' is (ahem) whistlin' Dixie, whistle...
I think there'll be indictments. The question seems to be when and not if. He's got 'til October. A whole beautiful 'silly season' of leakage and hot hot hot stories...

3. Isn't time on the side of Rove and Bush? I mean Bush could plunge the
...country into greater conflicts abroad solidifying support for the president based on patriotism. Bush is ready to push the nuclear button on any one of a number of "terrorist states" like Iran, North Korea, Syria and even African countries where conflicts and American involvement are raging.

4. I'm sure he'll try. Even the stupidest of Americans have to realize at
some point that you can't keep terrorists away with stupid ideas like taking your shoes off at the airport or random bag checks at the metro transit areas or even closing the border. All that happens is that Americans lose their freedom and businesses and tourists stop coming here

ALL of the alleged 9-11 terrorists were in the country legally.
