Are We Safer Yet?

Bush et al keep telling us that the invasion of Iraq (a central front in their War on Terror) has made the world safer. Since the invasion, there have been terrorist attacks in Turkey, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Spain, Iran, the U.K. (twice), Egypt (twice), Lebanon, Israel (of course), and Iraq (pretty much every day since the invasion)--and that's just a quick list, off the top of my head. A State Department report (which Bushco tried to suppress) recorded 370% more terrorist attacks across the globe in 2004 than in 2003. That trend appears to be continuing. Shouldn't Bushco be forced to answer not just for al Qaida affiliated attacks in the U.S., but around the world?

though I doubt it. One thing fer sure, we're a lot more on edge, the world scene being what it is. I'm a Senior Citizen, and I don't recall ever being so anxious about the future, now more so for my grandchild, then myself. Never thought my life would end being blown to bits. Scary as hell.
