I regret not including Libby in my letter.

Now that reports indicate George Bush's top advisor may be the senior White House official who revealed the identity of a CIA operative, it is interesting to see mainstream Republicans join their extremist counterparts of the talk radio and blog world in claiming that Valerie Plame was not undercover. Please. The CIA would not have launched this investigation if they did not believe a crime was committed. True, Karl Rove has not been charged with, much less convicted of, a crime. However, public officials are sometimes suspended from their positions while authorities investigate an alleged wrong doing. Until Rove is fully cleared in the Valerie Plame matter, he must be removed from any position where he has access to classified information. It is an issue of national security.

We should have a special forum for letters submitted to the editor, or even ones we want to submit if we want feedback first. I know, great, more forums!
