Five years in a row...Bush has snubbed the NAACP's invitation...

to address the NAACP Convention because of "scheduling conflicts".

"Instead of Bush sending Ken Mehlman to the NAACP convention, he could have sent the Black Republican congressional delegation, but he retired, (J.C. Watts)." Bush didn't go himself due to a scheduling conflict. Well, actually, he was too busy, 'scheduling conflicts.'"

3. I think he wants his racist republican base to know that he...

doesn't care about black Americans. And no one should care about them...Just pay lip service to them, in that, Bush "cares" about them, only for photo-ops" and all of the republican sheep understand the need for that, and forgive him for it.

Limbaugh's & the rest code word's like, "Affirmative Action", etc...Bush and the republicans don't give a shit about a black child or a poor child or any working person's life, especially if one is black...They know their base.

Actions speak louder than words...And Bush steals elections by suppressing the black vote...So why should he care?

Sick and sad fucking republicans!

10. Exactly
Also Stewart made a good point too on their Indecision 2004 video of the republican convention. He told how their "compassion" only comes out every four years.

12. My dad and I both love Lewis Black
He's the best! I love it when he's on there. I got my dad to like the Daily show as well (and he's an old school republican). I've heard some other stuff of Black's and it is great. :D

9. He was able to work into his busy schedule
a trip to Black Expo in Indianapolis a couple weeks ago. They awarded him their Lifetime Achievement Award.

When several questioned whether The Idiot Son was deserving of this award, one of the responses was that being a 2 term president was reason enough, but add to that the benefit the Blacks in America have received through his faith based initiatives.

Most of the Blacks interviewed here weren't buying it, so I have to wonder...what mover and shaker within Black Expo has a bigger bankroll these days?

occurred?

Yes...

They have their "stops" (when) and as they need them.

To show America, Bush (and the republicans) are not filthy, lying, disgusting racist.

And to show them off! (When needed).

Always sellouts! (Count on it).

But, what do you know and talkin 'bout Whitey?

Well put!

13. Well I remember earlier this year on Malloy's show
someone called in and told how in Ohio black church's specifically were getting paid big bucks to help "get out the vote". So their church leaders were being bribed. That's how come I think.

18. Appealling the religous vote
he sidesteps race - and there are too many African Americans I know in the South that vote for Bush because he votes for God. He appeals the religous vote and so does not have to cave to the interests of x, y, or z racial vote. It is a very slick strategy I believe.
