$14 per hour to pretend to be Arabs ?
Did I hear that correctly? I think it was on MSNBC this morning...It was part of a training for GIs before they went to Iraq. The military paid locals to put on Arab garb and pretend to be Arabs and give the GI's a "feel" for the real war they would soon encounter? Anybody else see that?

1. What purpose does that serve? Pretend to be Arabs in
the US? Just when I thought the government couldn't get stupider, it proves me wrong.

2. They had something on NBC last night

It's a bunch of people in Louisiana that are helping get the troops ready for combat. They dress up like Arab women and scream and act crazy and the people in town get $14 an hour to role play for the upcoming troops. Our way of teaching the troops. At least the weather down there is similar to Iraq.

8. Yeah, it's reasonable spare change, as long as they're not using live ammo
Take it from a show-biz whore: de gummint don't never mount a reasonable production. Just as stage-management in virtually every wedding is for shit, bureaucrats ain't got not flair.

O for decent impressario...
