If the ACLU's FOIA request to release torture documentation was granted...

If the ACLU's FOIA request to release torture documentation was granted, then doesn't the government or the courts have some obligation to keep the public informed as to the status of the release?

There is no Freedom of Information Act if the government, with one secret filing, can squash it like a bug.

The NY Times has stated that the goverment is not in violation of a court order to release torture materials. All I'm trying to do is determine the release date of the torture materials so I can start righetously bitching if the government does violate a court order to release them.
