Will you stay in the United States if neocons still control the US in '08

So I guess the answer would be, no. I would not stay in the U.S. if we lost on '06 and '08. I can barely stand it now. If they control things much longer there won't be anything left of what I knew as America.

Cat Killer Frist is unlikely to get their nomination and zilch chance of winning the election if he did.

who run this country would have you believe, there are MUCH better places in the world to live.

We traveled around Europe last summer. It was so nice. In Sweden, people have health insurance & dental provided by the government. They all seemed happy, healthy. They were really nice.

Most of the people we met have 5-week paid vacations every summer. Most of them have vacation houses where they go for a few weeks.

It was SO nice. In fact, we're looking into possibly moving to Europe.

As far as Canada, I'm sure they would be happy to have more people, in particular DU:ers. Canada has always been people-poor; it's been a huge country, but not very many people.

US's loss is Canada's gain.

It's not like moving across the street.
And does anyone think there's a safe harbor anywhere?

emmigrate to easily is Isreal, so my options are somewhat limited. That being said, if reubs are still in control in '08, the US will be a worse theocracy than Isreal.

I retire in 2016. As a federal employee, I'm stuck here until then.

I like to think of the neocons like weeds in a garden. It is easier to fight weeds when they first take root in your garden, rather than waiting until they overtake your garden. Much better to make your stand against them here in the U.S.

If this 'perfect storm' brews as it has so many times in the past, there will likely be a couple stages to look for before leaving.

It's a very rare politician who will put his career at risk unnecessarilly. Therefore, there are a couple pools of people that they'll likely tap first before proceeding to the general population.

A red flag will be seen if the government starts giving convicted minor criminals the choice to 'serve' their sentence in prison or on the battlefield.

When they exhaust those pipelines, they'll go to their lottery system. At that point, you could dissent for political and religious reasons.

I would argue that this statement can be read/understood quite differently depending on who whose need is considered. Using your passport during a draft may send you straight to bootcamp when you hit the border checkpoint.
