Bush is deliberately not told what is going on and he doesn't ask out of pure ignorance or because he knows his role.

Do chief-of-staffs and top aides normally commit treasonous acts on their own volition? I think we can safely conclude that this was driven by Cheney/Bush....the tough aspect is proving it. Plausible denialbility is always the last firewall consideration.

I don't know about Cheney but Bush is another story.

As close as Bush and Rove have been for so many yrs, there is no way that was a surprise to him!! Now, maybe he didn't know about it in '03 when he said the leaker wouldn't be a part of his administration but I believe, at some point, he knew about it.

I doubt their aides just decided "gee, lets out Joe Wilson's wife today. Nothing better to do!."

If you listen to the Republicans, they use the same terminology at the same time. They clearly have one brain and orders transmitted from the mothership. There is no way this tag-team effort was done under the radar. If you look at footage of the 2000 recounts, you'll see Bolton front and center making sure no chads were eaten. Ha. Roberts was behind the scenes. The mob pounding on the doors in Miami-Dade were all operatives. These are insidious pod people we are dealing with here.

There is NO way...Bush, Cheney, Bolton, Rice, Powell, Fleischer, Rove, Libby didn't discuss this with each other and we already know some of them discussed it with about 6 different reporters..when mentioning those names above...let's NOT forget...EVERY DAMNED ONE of them KNEW this was NOT a subject OPEN for discussion with anyone, NOT EVEN EACH OTHER, let alone reporters!! I believe that Cheney knew what was happening ahead of time. Bush doesn't know what is going to happen day to day until Cheney tells him what to do.
