Taking the rock out of your shoe, or Joe is done
My prediction, and take it for what you will. Joe will place Fifth in New Hampshire, and he will drop out soon thereafter.

Not only that, his concession and departure will not be done with any grace, but with a sneer and a scold.

But he'll be gone from the spotlight, and we can be a bit prouder of the Democratic faces that pop up on our TV sets.

2. Poor Joe
Edited on Tue Jan-27-04 12:58 AM by auburnblu
He was such a shot in the arm to Gore's campaign in 2000. Gore went from waaaaaaay down to right with W, when Lieberman was announced as the running mate. I can understand most on here disagreeing with Lieberman, but all of these hateful negative vibes are kind of sad. Too many on here seem to talk non-stop about how hateful the freepers are, I've spent maybe five minutes on that site, so I guess they are. Well the sad reality is that many posters who bitch about how hateful the freepers are, then are hateful on here concerning Joe. All of these attacks don't exactly give me or any moderate a reason to feel much pride in the party, that's for sure.

5. agreed, joe is treated like a red headed stepchild...
no offense to red headed step children. He's not the most liberal but I dont doubt his loyalty to the party. He's not the most liberal, but he's not republican.

8. What baloney: two points
- Lieberman did not save Gore's campaign. He barely fought for it: witness his kind capitulation before Cheney and during the recount

- Moderates have plenty of Democrats to choose from, most notably the Good Senator John Edwards. Liberals like myself go for Wesley Clark.

19. Not to mention the fact that he spent 2000 campaign pretending he didn't
know Bill Clinton. He mentions Bill Clinton more times in his standard stump speech now than he did in all of 2000.

22. Do you remember the pools before Lieberman was added?
Remember back to the summer of 2000? Lieberman helped give Al a good boost.

I'm truly sorry for you and others who are completely consumed by their hatred of Joe Lieberman.

9. Your sympathy is touching
I'd rather have my party champion be someone who is proud to be a Democrat.

11. Sure it is. A new Democrat who's a real Democrat
Instead of these "Democrats" who have been acting like Republicans all along.

16. That's nice
quote a man who endorsed Al D'Amato congratulating a "fellow Democrat." Maybe Al Sharpton and Michael Moore can barnstorm together for their "fellow Democrat."

17. He will be out soon
and I am more then happy with that, but he will depart with grace abd honor.

To say that I don't like some of Joe's positions is to put it mildly, none the less I respect him as a man of convictions.

I'd rather see a REAL Democrat in the spotlight rather than someone who thinks he's one but really isn't.

Hurahhh...

Time for the moderate conservative to drop out and leave the race to the liberals...

Maybe Joe can ban some video games, movies, or plays on his off time, the sick pro-censorship tick
