Digby hits one out of the park again
Expecting Different Results

I believe that there is a less than zero possibility that George W. Bush is going to implement any sane plan to withdraw from Iraq, much less one set forth by a Democratic presidential aspirant.
...
The heartbreaking truth of the matter is that as long as Iraq is in the hands of the Bush administration and the Republicans, it is fucked. Period.
...
They have burned their bridges with the international community, they don't believe in diplomacy, they are willing to shitcan the fundamental democratic principles of an Iraqi constitution to get a temporary bump in the public opinion polls. ... They are continuing to fight their war for US hegemony on the world stage, Republican hegemony in American politics and Executive hegemony within the government. The "war on terrorism" and Iraq are merely staging areas.
...
Bush has already "lost" the war in Iraq and ... we should stage a tactical retreat fairly quickly.
...
In March 2003 we already knew that the Republicans were mendacious enough to stage a phony impeachment and steal an election. And we also knew that the brand name in an empty suit they call a president was a fool and that the people who were backing the war had been wrong about every single big ticket foreign policy issue since the mid 70s.
...
Why are people so unwilling to admit what they are seeing before their eyes, even today? The Republican party is corrupt, incompetent and drunk with power. And no matter what their intentions, they are incapable of setting things right. We have seen this over and over again.

1. Digby is my all time favorite blogger (sorry Atrios and Kos)
He writes astonishingly beautiful analysis pieces that cut right to the heart of an issue. He is the fist blogger that I check when making my blog rounds.

2. Me too!

Then I hit www.billmon.org, Atrios.blogspot.com, dailykos.com, SteveGilliard.blogspot.com, jameswolcott.com, americablog.com - and DU.

But Digby is the BEST in terms of strategy -- which is what we need more than anything else right now. Atrios is good for snark, Billmon is good for history, DailyKos is good for electoral poltics and research, SteveGilliard is good for hard-hitting realism, JamesWolcott is great for high-brow nastiness, and Americablog is just kind of fun for me... But there's something about Digby. He really knows his strategy. I think any Dem candidate who reads his blog and takes his advice can WIN.

3. An Incredible Must Read....he really get's to the heart of what's at stake
Repugs will never listen to Dems even the War Hawk Dems who now are trying to offer what they think is constructive advice.

I applaud Digby for saying what needs to be said. And, it's worth the read...no one could think the same, once they read what he says about where Bush will take us. We think that he might listen if his polls keep going down? If Rove is indicted...whatever is thrown at him...the Repugs who support the empty brained idiot will NEVER GIVE UP, NEVER GIVE IN...and NEVER CHANGE THE COURSE.

Removal from Office is all they will listen to. And it's going to be a long haul, there..
