Any questions now what our New Dems intend to do? I did not think so. Just move along.

Bipartisan intro set for Roberts hearings
By Kathy Kiely and Judy Keen, USA TODAY
WASHINGTON —" Supreme Court nominee John Roberts will be introduced to the Senate Judiciary Committee next week by a centrist Democrat and a veteran Republican, an important symbolic boost for his confirmation prospects."

Sen. Evan Bayh, a Democrat who represents Roberts' home state of Indiana, and Sen. John Warner, a Virginia Republican, have agreed to appear with him when confirmation hearings begin Tuesday.

Warner is a member of the "Gang of 14," a bipartisan group of senators who cut a deal in May that allowed some of President Bush's judicial nominees to be confirmed, but maintained Democrats' ability to block others under "extraordinary" circumstances. Support from the group will be crucial to Roberts' confirmation...."

"...But the presence of Bayh, a potential 2008 presidential contender, will underscore differences in the Democratic Party over the Roberts nomination. Liberals such as Sens. Charles Schumer of New York and Edward Kennedy of Massachusetts have sharply criticized some of Roberts' positions."

Sen. Evan Bayh, D-Ind., will introduce Roberts but hasn't decided how he'll vote.

The DLC and their show-pony candidates are getting on my last good nerve. All this cooperation and collusion with the morally corrupt Neo-Con regime makes me sick to my stomach. :puke:

3. I've already had enough of Birch's Boy
Yeah, he's from your state, and yeah you're a "democrat", but he puts the "ease" in appeasement.

and maybe it is merely a courtesy thing because of the Indiana thing.

7. Bye, Bye, Bayh....at least for the "Progressive Wing" of the Dems....
I guess Biden took a pass on this one...so Bayh stepped forward. Since they are both supposedly "possible contenders" for '08 maybe they will do the "Good Cop/Bad Cop" Routine in the next over three years for us.

Maybe they will even "tap dance and sing songs." Sheesh...:puke:
