Human suffering is grist for the media mill...
Edited on Thu Sep-01-05 03:22 AM by dave123williams
The Big Easy is the best story to happen to the media, since, well....since the 6 days we spent as a nation pondering how many died in the Tsunami. And not really caring...

Now, it's a bit closer to home. Gas...fuck; gas is going to get pretty expensive, I think.

We're looking at a major catastrophe in a major city, for which we're only partially prepared. Cholera, Typhus and Amoebic Dysentery are going to kick off down there in the next day or so, while the worst kind of human stampede mentality takes over when hundreds of thousands of people, many heavily armed, face anarchy.

This is going to get way worse before it gets better.

What killed me tonight was CNN hyping Martha Stewart and the Aruba killing while they actually covered a real disaster. Like they couldn't let their developing 'news product' die a natural death.
