President Bush to address the nation on Hurricane Katrina...has flown by the damage on Air Force One on way back to D.C.

THIS President had it all thrown at him, and it is my opinion (history will bear this out as well, I am sure) that he did as well and better than many ... I mean that. He is a giant and has, in all of it, retained his professional commitment and personal humility. Neat trick. If you don't think so, just look who was in the WH previously and tell me THAT bore any resemblance to commitment or humility.

The president has me guessing and that's not good. His leadership skills in so many critical areas of concern for this country go begging. We have protected the hell out of the rights of Iraqis and shed blood for the defense of their country. When it comes to our defense from invasions from the south he's asleep at the wheel. For six years he's taken the invaders side using the invaders arguments for invading. When we have the greatest human disaster that this country has experienced, totally destroying a major city in the USA, he's got to stay at the ranch for a last round of horse shoes. WE'VE got to shake up this man and make him lead, and in the right direction, pray God.

You have no clue as to what this President has been doing -- without his calls to the idiot Governor and Mayor of NO, there would have been no mandatory evacuation. He had FEMA on the ground and declared this an emergency BEFORE the storm hit. The Navy has ships at sea now on the way to the Gulf. Supplies are flooding into the area, Coast Guard is working overtime to rescue folks and the Coast Guard is under the Command of the President. As always he will speak when he is good and ready and has all the facts and a plan on what comes next. Did I forget to mention this morning he signed off on the strategic oil reserves being released? A lot is going on behind the scenes our stupid media doesn't report but they sure like to take swipes at the President. Until he is good and ready, some folks like you need to chill!

You have without a doubt posted the stupidest comment during the month of August. And you're definitely a finalist for all of 2005. You border freaks just cannot and will not give it a rest. How can ANYBODY be blindly following this man any more? How can ANYBODY ignore everything that is going on? How do they reconcile higher infant mortality for four straight years, higher poverty rates for four straight years, lower median incomes for FIVE YEARS, the war, the economy and the lack of response to this emergency? Even if you are a Bush supporter, shouldn't SOME of that stuff make you pause?

Where do you get an opinion like that? I mean it. Really where do you see Bush as a giant? I just am overwhelmed that's all.

declared a state of emergency because of the PREVIOUS storm damage, weeks after it occurred.

It was NOT a pre-emptive declaration because of Katrina.

I think her other claims are equally flawed.
