It's more effective if you call them locally and let them know you're pissed. Make sure you find out if they are still "at home". If so, start notifying your friends and newspaper that they are "still on vacation".

If he's home, I understand - he could be undergoing chemo.

But I asked the young girl who answered the phones to PLEASE have him do something for those poor people in Louisiana, because obviously our president is too incompetent, and maybe a senior person like Senator Specter could light some fires or kick some ass. It is the same 202 number to the main switchboard they have had for years and years, at least since Kennedy. They may have made it toll free, but I would think it would have changed to an 800 or 888 number.

"talk" with the phone guy--he told me to "have a good day." I told him that I would IF I COULD STOP CRYING FOR 5 MINUTES. I asked if he was getting a lot of calls from angry Americans and he said yes. I said GOOD. I am so angry.
