1. This needs to be exposed to the world.
And mostly to the sheeple in this country.

4. The world probably does know it;, we must be "protected" from
such things.

I frequently read overseas news in English online since my husband is Indian. It's often a remarkably different perspective than we get here.

3. Any Geman readers/speakers out there? I'd love to see even
a rough translation of this report.

Checked the site and saw no apparent English option there.

6. If you go to the URL you can use Babelfish...and yes, it's "rough."
I used the Maxthon browser, which lets you access Babelfish directly.

For everyone else, go to the URL in blondeatlast's post, copy the URL, go to Babelfish (http://babelfish.altavista.com/tr), paste the URL, select "German to English," and you should be able to navigate the site.

I typed "Bush New Orleans" in the search box and it returned this article, translated imperfectly but close enough for rock & roll:

Hurricane disaster: Criticism at Bush grows

Thousand Nationalgardisten accompany auxiliary convoy of amphibious vehicles - clearing up only for Bush?

Despite the devastating destruction after the hurricane "Katrina" does not want to shift US president George W. Bush troops from the Iraq into the disaster regions in the south of the USA. The United States would have enough resources, in order to settle both tasks, said Bush on Friday in the heavily destroyed city Biloxi in the US Federal State Mississippi. Bush, which comes increasingly into the criticism, confessed that the relief work was insufficient so far.

Bush promised the concerning of the hurricane "Katrina" more assistance. The natural catastrophe has consequences for the whole country and therefore the entire nation will help, it on Friday in new Orleans. After its words the results of the past relief work for new Orleans could have been better. Bush defended itself against increasing criticism and said, for which immeasurable consequence of the destruction had not been able itself to prepare anybody. He promised additional assistance over from congress of US adopted 10.5 billion dollar (8.4 billion euro) emergency aid package outside.

Clearing work only for Bush?

Where the US president visited the disaster area, auxiliary troops cleared up before properly - however only there. From Biloxi quoted Second Channel of German Television correspondent Claudia Rueggeberg desperate inhabitants, Bush is to bring auxiliary goods here in his sedans instead of loud Bodyguards and assistant dear.
Along its route clearing troops would have cleared before Bushs attendance debris and would have saved corpses. Then Bush left again "and with it", so Rueggeberg, "the whole auxiliary troops". At the situation in Biloxi otherwise nothing changed, it is missing at everything.

9. Impeach CEO Bush-Now

Enough is enough. I've emailed my Senators Durbin and Obama and my congressperson to begin an impeachment hearing immediately.

We the People should demand that this president be the CEO that he claims to be and resign from his position of honor and trust. Any other CEO whose horrible job performance caused hundreds, perhaps thousands, to die would be fired by the corporations board of directors.

WE (the People) ARE THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS of this beleaguered country, and it’s time we demanded our hired CEO leave his job. If he doesn’t, we throw him out via impeachment and a trial in the Senate.

20. The American Sheeple best wake up from their coma
and realize that the USA Corporate News media is filtering every damn thing to NOT reflect badly upon their "dear leaders" within the Military-Industrial Corporations and the Vampires within Bush Administration.

The rest of the world KNOWS the ugly truth about our Criminal Executive Branch. Too bad the American People are not privy to a FREE PRESS!?!

14. When ceausescu was visiting farmer markets, flunkies were carrying
fruit and vegetable - same ones from one market to the other. later I found out that the ceausescus knew it all along - they came to NYC and visited Blumingdales and commented: "they filled it up just for us"
Congratulations, US! You are now officially a third world country. It always starts with mock elections.
