Media Doing It Again
During the recent Hurricane coverage some of the members of DU felt the media had turned a corner and would be tougher on the Bush Administration. I guess some of us thought the media would not fall for Bush's BS. Others said wait and see if the media keeps it up. The latter felt that the media would move back into their previous state. This morning it seems that the latter was right.

I watched a little of the ABC Good Morning America coverage of the Rhenquist vacancy and who would replace him. They were acting as if Bush really cared about reaching out to people on the other side. George Stephonpolos and the anchor were saying the Bush could call back Sandra O' Connor to be the chief justice. They were saying that appointing Scalia and Thomas would be a really hard they to do. They claimed that since Bush was doing so bad in the polls he could use appointing O' Connor to make some political friends. I would be very surprised if Bush actually appointed O' Connor to chief justice.

4. Agree.
They have a real problem with powerful, independent women.

5. Agreed - W owes Uncle Dick Crashcart big-time
and appointing the hunting/fishing buddy would fit the bill.

That way the radical fundmentalist right would hold the Chief Justiceship AND get an Associate spot to replace Scalia.

The fix is in.......
