This is what I ask people I know who happen to listen to Rush Limbaugh:
I ask them, "Why do you let someone like Rush Limbaugh do your thinking for you all the time?" The "all the time" part really gets them.

Almost always, they immediately reply with, "He doesn't. I just like listening to what he has to say". When they say that, I look them in the eye and I repeat what I told them the first time...."Rush does your thinking FOR you. It's a show that survives on people who can't make up their minds for themselves. I'm really surprised anyone with any intelligence still listens to that fake."

It's kind of fun trying to get these fools who listen to Rush at least wondering about themselves. Try asking them that initial question just for the hell of it sometime.

2. Ask them this-
Would anyone pay someone $20MM+/yr to tell the truth? Since when has truth telling paid such a premium price? Packaging lies in a convincing manner...now that's a valuable commodity that commands top dollar.

4. How can anyone LIKE listening to his HATE and VENOM?
That is what has led us to where we are today, frankly.

I just don't understand. Whatever happened to peace, love, and understanding?

6. It's absolutely mind boggling.
This is why I always feel the need to ask anyone I know who partakes in his disgusting show, "WHY...?"

8. it's funny that you mention this. when he first hit the air waves in
oklahoma, I use to listen all the time, I tend to be a little conservative in my thinking, but as time went on he made me sick to my stomach. just hearing his name or voice now makes my blood pressure go up.

10. That is the question that makes them go ballistic...
because they like to think of themselves as "big swingin' dick masters of their destiny blah, blah, blah..."
and of course that is utter horseshit.
It ALWAYS strikes a nerve.

11. Be more specific... (something to ask them)
Personally, I don't know ANYONE who I agree with about EVERYTHING.

But Rush fans are not "allowed" to differ with the "Master".

As them: what poltical position does Rush take that you think is DEAD WRONG?

12. Rush is honest about it.... I have heard him say...
"My job is to talk and your job is to listen." He tells them he is the "Doctor of Democracy".

14. I listen to Rush often!
I have a high pain threshold.

It clues me in to what all the boneheads at work will be spewing later in the day. I can't tell you how much that helps in my 'cubicle debating sessions' knowing EXACTLY what they will say on the topic. Sly, I know.

okay, I lied. I can only take about 1/2 hour and that seems to do the trick.

16. Ooh, I could almost envision a comedy routine where you
argue with yourself, based on what Rush has said.

15. When he said Bush was the new JFK,
that pretty much proved to me that no lie was too small for him.
