This was the BEST press conference I have ever seen.(Scottie)

The guy from NBC on one side of the room and the guy from ABC (?) on the other were pounding away on Scottie on accountability of what went wrong and will there be accountability on it. Scottie... not playing the blame game, pat answering for every question . At one point, one of them said you are not answering the question, then Scottie said yes I did in which the reporter said you are answering the question by saying you will not answer the question. They gave him hell.

to answer 40 different questions in the same way.

Unfortunately for McClellan, he lacks the personality necessary to do that without seeming like a dumb liar.

While political junkies like us here at DU tune into these little roasts, the vast majority of the populace is totally unaware that the White House holds two press briefings every business day. The only way their flailing is going to be exposed is for the evening news to begin showing it. Unfortunately, they've got too many pharmaceutical commercials running to make 45 seconds available on the networks to show the American people what a bunch of incompetent crooks is squatting in the White House.

C'mon Brian Williams, you know what's going on -- show it!

transcript. They eviscerated McClellan. I'm surprised the next news report out of the White House was not that after the press briefing, McClellan went home and shot himself in the head. Of all of the questions, my favorite was:

Q --Does anyone in this administration know anyone that's down there --
MR. McCLELLAN: Well, I think you need to talk to people on the ground --
Q -- beyond Trent Lott?

I'd love to know who asked it.
