Just Heard Witt's Comments About FEMA Now......
paraphrasing - you can't rip the heart out of an organization and expect it to function properly.

As I heard that - what came to mind is the CIA. Does anyone think that this holds true for the CIA? If so - we're in big trouble.

1. FEMA's work was outsourced to IEM Inc of Baton Rouge
Begin your search there. The 'planning' was supposed to have been done ... the taxpayers got screwed instead.

Yes, outsourcing is killing Americans literally. It used to be just jobs, now it's lives.

2. Kicking and nominating. People need to think about this one.
And then tell their friends about it. And THEY, in turn, ALSO need to think about this one. And tell THEIR friends...

This cuts straight through. Straight through.

We. Cannot. Risk. (Or. Afford.) Another. Three. Years. Of. This.

3. This misadministration has done the same thing to every deparrtment
All their appointments are nothing more than political payback. They don't care about experience or capabilities. It's all about political loyalty for them and screw the people.

5. He's right on target
And a point my better half mentioned over the weekend: Placing FEMA under the management of the Department of Homeland Security was a huge mistake. Of course the agency would be neglected when the overseeing group's priority is completely different.

6. Yep...some talking head told Ron Reagan this morning that if they had
diverted too many resources to the hurricane, we would lose preparedness in case of a terrorist attack. ..."and most Americans are more concerned about terrorism." (or words to that effect).

If you are dead, does it matter what killed you?
