Howard Dean on Randi Rhodes
I didn't get all of it, but I was able to record much of Randi Rhodes' interview with Howard Dean. If you're interested, I've got a partial transcript here:

1. Thanks so much. I missed all of it.
I really like this statement:

"Howard: Look, it's an international embarrassment, it's a national embarrassment, but if you build your administration based on things that aren't true, eventually it catches up with you. We've got the war, we've got this disaster, we've got the economy-- Before this happened to us, it was announced that the average income for most working people--about 80% of them--went down about $1700 in the years this president has been in office. So this is not an administration that's going to do much for most Americans. But from a political point of view it's my job to get rid of Republicans, and we will, but the truth is, this is a real urgent situation for a lot of people in Louisiana and Mississippi and Alabama, and I think we ought to focus on the positive things that one American can do for another, and leave the federal government out of it. Just try to get them out of our way so we can actually accomplish something."

Thanks so much for sharing.

3. Heard most ot the interview, Randi was pushing for impeachment
Mr. Dean was not going to that direction.

Randi did mention that we need to hold responsible Mr. Bush Jr. for his actions in the Iraq war and now deaths in New Orleans.

Mr. Dean did not think that was possible because of the lack of Republican support and wanted to focus on being able to things for ourselves.

Randi told Mr. Dean that FEMA cut emergency lines of communication and stopped supplies from going into the area. Mr. Dean responded that is a problem.

No wonder major polling outfits do not want to poll for impeachment. The powers that be do not want it.

5. Imagine if you will the fallout
If Howard Dean had called for the impeachment of President Bush.

Imagine the howls for his head and cries that the Democrats had a madman running the party--and that's from Democrats--of the elected variety.

I don't know where Howard Dean is personally on this issue, my guess is if he thought it was possible he'd push it, but there's no doubt that Congressional Democrats do not have the stomach to do this--even after New Orleans.

Sad but true.
