Why were 200 buses left parked?
How do you think they got the people to the superdome in time?

1. Many walked, waded, or swam to the Superdome
And a lot of people didn't get there in time.

5. Yes, there was an internal evacuation
with bus stops all over the city. That was the plan, the local first responders were under water after the hurricane, which is where the federal government was to play a role.

3. Where would they take them? Who would
abandon their families to take them? Who would provide security for the driver and the people on the buses?

After sitting in traffic for 6-8 hours in 90+degree heat with 50+ people, will the bus driver be able to get back to town to rescue his family?

8. the whole thing is ridiculous
How many people could have been evacuated in school buses that hold 40 people...and how many hours would each trip take? So the maybe 1000 people who could have been evacuated this way would have been what lucky???

10. They did the simulations
They knew they wouldn't be able to evacuate everyone, and yet the Bush administration sat on their asses until shamed into action by the media showing people dieing in the streets.

It's just so stupid to blame this on the local government.
