did the freepers ever comment about bush....
....when he addressed the "haves and have mores" and called them his base?

i mean, most freepers are probably working class and poor whites. wouldn't you think they would be totally appalled by that? don't they always call liberals elites? didn't they say they hated kerry because he was rich?

1. um.................you are assuming freepers can think for themselves
if rush calls 'em that, that's what they'll think they are even if they don't have two nickels to rub together

5. No, they dismissed that you know it was just Michael Moore
making trouble. Damn lying liberals. I get the feeling that they really don't want to focus on this issue. It would NOT be in their favor.

10. Pretty much. They treat Moore with almost as much disdain and
dismissal as they did Clinton. Basically they say, he's not on my side, so he's wrong.

19. Like somebody who willfully doesn't want to know their spouse
is cheating.

And their kind wouldn't believe anything from Michael Moore...

22. DENIAL...that's what it is. There is a quote about ignorance...
Goes something like this, "There is only one thing that is guaranteed to keep a man in everlasting ignorance and it is a closed mind. I can't remember who it's from and that is surely paraphrased. It's kind of ironic because it can be found in an Appendix in the Big Book from Alcoholics Anonymous. Go figure.

9. Exactly
That's the backbone of conservatism, the belief that the "good" people will always succeed and be prosperous.

4. Unless they spun it in their own head
and thought of it as having more (morels, family values) I don't think everyones first thought goes right to wealth and net worth. Most people i know that are having a hard time with money try to escape the fact that they are suffering. Thats why movie and alcohol are always popular during recessions, because people want an escape from reality.

7. i'm not buying that.....
....."haves and have mores" has nothing to do with morals or family values. nobody, even freeptards, could confuse "haves and have mores" to do with anything other than money and wealth.

12. Most of them probably believe that they are in the 'haves' or
at least live in the 'land of opportunity' where they can become one with hard work and blind loyalty.

Many of them think that Bush has betrayed them in a lot of ways. Yet, issue by issue as it comes along and he does the opposite of what they want, they always think he has a plan, a strategery (they think that word is so cute). They were disgusted when Bush asked Clinton for help, but they decided that he had some grand scheme that would uncover the truth about Clinton and show the world how evil he is...or some such nonsense. The funny thing is...it's never happened the way they think it will. Yet repeatedly when they are discouraged they come up with that same thing! Blind faith is what keeps them going.

16. Reagan lies carry on
Actually the sheepicans believed every word that came out of Reagans mouth as all seeing and all knowing truth. It was Reagan that told them that all that was wrong with america could be fixed by getting rid of unions and welfare, those 2 things were killing the country. He also told them they could work hard and become rich, Reagan said it then its truth. Thats why they are all behind the tax cuts for the rich, they really believe that one day they to will be a wheel instead of another cog.

21. I haven't heard
And it always pissed me off how the freepers would go the "Kerry is rich" route and yet they don't mention Bush's wealth. :eyes: Oh yes, Bush is one of you but Kerry isn't. :eyes:
