Bob Kur (MSNBC): "The American taxpayer is going to pay for every penny"
Just now, during a newsbreak on MSNBC. Kur said that various "insiders" on Capitol Hill are saying that the LAST thing the country needs right now is to have taxes raised, but also added that American taxpayers will directly pay for "every penny" of Bush's little master plan.

It will be interesting to see the price tag for this, because that $200 billion is a down payment, not the whole bill.

He has screwed up every blessed thing he touches.

Where on earth is this money going to come from?

Oh, I know, just print more money :-).

4. I had Bloomberg News on
yesterday afternoon and they had on some repuke Senator. I think it was Grasley, well he was asked if this meant no tax cuts since the deficit would increase so much now. He said we had to have the tax cuts and if the deficit got out of hand then government workers and recipients of government checks should take a freeze on wages and benefits. That's their answer, that's what they want, don't think of asking the rich to give up a thing.

6. "Government workers and recipients of government checks?"
I'm wondering when the United States is going to turn into one big, toasty, bloody Watts Riot.

Now more than ever, the "How much are people willing to TAKE" question looms on the horizon.

8. I think they're trying to create a revolution.
Seriously, they're going to give the wealthy tax cuts, by cutting the wages of recipients of government checks?

do these guys have any clue what they're saying? this will result in a friggin revolution.

they've lost touch with reality.

10. I think that Dems should run on the "For want of a nail" platform -
Katrina showed the priorities.

70 million might just have shored up the levees enough to minimize the damage, if not prevented the flooding.

"The $199,930,000,000 Priority Mistake" . . .
