2. Insist on full investigation
take the hits if they come regarding Dems on the local level.

Come up with a plan that works better and publicize it, convincing the electorate that a Democratic administration can and will do better by its citizens.

4. We should use it in the campaign every chance we get,;
We should be, by far, the most humanly responsive Party to those who lost everything and suffered during Katrina; We should not be afraid of the phrase "Class Warfare", because KKKarl will throw it at us every time we make a peep about this now or during the campaign -- and we should say YOU BET YOUR ASS IT'S CLASS WARFARE, AND WE WILL FIGHT FOR THE LESS FORTUNATE EVERY CHANCE WE GET!; we should encourage those we saw fit to elect to find their spines, their ball, and their chutzpah again; and finally... as was so elegantly and finely stated above: we should Ram it up their ass every chance we get.

8. "situation given to us" can be taken to mean
that now there is a light that clearly exposes to the American public what kind of a president we have.

That is a good thing, and almost all Americans should be better off because of it.

It's like saying that medical science takes advantage of dead bodies to do autopsies so that we can understand death better, thereby learning how to prevent it.

9. take advantage?
I don't like the wording of this question either. So, let me answer it directly.

I think it is important not to be Rovian here, but instead brutally honest. Americans everywhere have gotten to see poverty and the horrible living conditions of the NOLA people not only during the storm, but BEFORE. It has opened up people's eyes to the virtual American apartheid that we have.

(1) Let's keep talking about. It is an important issue. Let's use the term "virtual apartheid" because that is what it is. Let's also use the term "virtual segregation" in education. Because that exists, too.
(2) Let's use this opportunity to fix some things, like FEMA and economic injustice through tax cuts for the "have mores."
(3) Let's not do this for the Democratic Party. Let's do this for the people. It will be a natural consequence that the Democratic Party benifits. The party is not the priority, though. The people are.

10. it is another of many lessons bush has given us in incompetence
and his inability to run a govt. this time we watched american, our brothers and sisters, die. it is not a matter of taking advantage of the situation. it is a matter of learning from the experience so those deaths arent totally a waste. bush needs to go. bush has been a failure all his life. this is what happens when you put a man into office who is a failure. we die
