Only thing missing from Jackson Sq. photo op was Peter Pan
When I saw Junior Bush stroll across the lawn at Jackson Square last week, it felt as though I was watching a pale blue Walt Disney movie. I was on the edge of my seat anticipating the arrival of Tinkerbell and some animated stardust particles. I wouldn`t have been surprised if a mound of grass suddenly opened up to expose a cheerful, dancing gnome. Bush`s speech may have started Chris Matthews gushing, but it rated dead last on my reality scale.

Why didn`t Karl at least stick Bush in a boat? After all, this is the MISSION ACCOMPLISHED guy, the guy who can parade across an aircraft carrier carrying his helmet like a set of bull testicles he singlehandedly won during a scrimmage in Madrid. This is the Can Do Turkey Guy who can fly into a war zone with a complete turkey dinner, platter and all. This is the guy who can simultaneously fund a couple of wars, give tax breaks to the Donald Trumps and revamp half of Alaska. So why the crisp blue shirt and the shiny black shoes in a city of death?

I don`t mind fake when I`m supposed to know it`s fake, like when Dracula shows up at my door with a little trick or treat bag or when a cartoon character in peril makes an escape airplane out of a twig. I do mind when the president of the United States....whose fingers are still sore from playing the guitar....starts play acting like a Hurricane Savior on national tv.

Karl can do whatever he wants with the pathetic little man. He can have him standing beside a New Orleans levee with the entire Army Corps of Engineers and it won`t matter anymore. This country got Pet-Goated again by the guy so busy licking frosting off his fun-filled fingers that he couldn`t bother to stop to see if Louisiana and Mississippi got washed away. Americans who still support George Bush should be considered habitual offenders.
