4. Why is Nagin so sacrosanct here?
Edited on Wed Sep-21-05 03:35 PM by RamboLiberal
I didn't think O' Brien bashed him that badly. I would consider it worth investigating why he hasn't talked to his head of city council. Now I'm not saying Nagin did anything wrong. But I think some here are just as blind to some Dem's being criticized as the Bushbots are to criticism of Bush.

I want to find out the truth of what every politician and their people did in this tragedy and be free to judge for myself their strengths and their foulups.

And as a listener I enjoy both Randi and Ed Schultz. I tend to listen to Ed live and since I can get mp3's of Randi I download those and listen to Randi in the car where I can't get any liberal radio in my area most of the day.

I don't want to get in to the pissing contest between Randi and Ed.

6. I agree with you.. Miles bashed Bush as much as Nagin...
Actually, he didn't really "bash" Nagin, he stated a few examples where Miles had to shake his head..

What's wrong with that?

7. he's not. I tuned out because there's better info I can glean online than
by listening to Miles O'Brien.

9. Can't stand Miles OBrien.
He is so full of himself. I started disliking him during the Clinton administration. He is definitely pro Republican. I refuse to watch him.

2. listened enough
it sucks, as soon as I heard Miles repeat Rice's talking point about "who could imagine a plane flying into the trade center" and Ed agreeing.

I am a Randi fan for keeps.

3. Miles....
- Glad to finally be on Eddie's show.. called him "da man!"

- Miles on Katrina: "How the hell was I able to get to New Orleans in a rented Buick Regal and the 82nd Airbourne couldn't make it in?!?"

- Said CNN is finally able to speak their mind regarding Bush as a result of the Katrina tragedy. "It took something like this for management to allow them to STOP THE DAMN SPIN MACHINE and tell it like it is"

...Commercial break... More Miles in a minute ~ :applause: (good to hear him on a venue like this!)

11. Really???
DId he really say this:

... CNN is finally able to speak their mind regarding Bush as a result of the Katrina tragedy. "It took something like this for management to allow them to STOP THE DAMN SPIN MACHINE and tell it like it is"

He owned up to a "spin machine" at CNN? That's a pretty big deal, I think. He is one of their show ponies... their morning man with Soledad O'Brien. I have observed that Ms. O'Brien seems very pissed with the turn of events in NO, and the way the (mainly) black poor folk were ignored by the feds.

Anyway, please more of what he said.

12. For a guy who leans right, he didn't do too bad
Edited on Wed Sep-21-05 04:32 PM by Carla in Ca
I was expecting more talking points but he really made an impact with his 'rented Buick Regal' line. He didn't have to include it.
BTW, Ed has replaced O'Reilly in Salt Lake City and the LAT did a great article on his efforts to take evacuees hone to ND.
I like him the more I listen to him.

10. Miles is one of the few ppl on CNN I miss
He is great on space and aviation issues. But from what I hear on here, MO has been coerced into being a RWer on American Morning. I rarely watch CNN anymore.
