Aerial shot of Pro-War Rally?
I wonder if Reuters will get an aerial shot today like they did yesterday.

2. The aerial shot from yesterday was from the top of the Washington Monument
Maybe a local with a zoom lens could do the same? :spray:

4. Controlled airspace.
No such photography possible.

Hence photos from top of Monument only.

8. I was told that because of terrorism concerns, post 9/11

that the Park Service was no longer allowed up and over Washington to take aerial shots of crowds.

If this has been a PRO-BUSH, PRO-REPUBLICAN rally, do you think that might have been waived? (And probably photo-shopped...?)

I do.

10. Park Police were in the air

and no doubt taking pictures and video. They were also flying lower than they did during the Pro-Choice march in May. Not sure if that was because of the crowd or lower cloud ceiling though.

Park Police copter and notice the camera on the building.

Pretty noisy since I did not have a long enough lens for long shots like this.

13. Just to be clear
That was yesterday over the Peace march. I think everyone understands that but reread and thought hmmm I wasn't really clear about when they were taken.
