"Economy's going phenomenally well!
We mustn't raise taxes!" So says some jackass (Allan Hubbard, National Economic Council Director) on Washington Journal on C-Span.

3. Tell that to the retail business when the Holidays come about and..
their sales are way down because people can't buy due to paying for record high gasoline and heating bills.

10. I talked to one of my customers yesterday in the Midwest...
a jewelry store, and he said business is just awful. He's working off of old inventory and not buying anything unless it's a paid special order. Keep in mind that the vast majority of owners of small jewelry stores support Republicans because they, foolishly, think they're good for business. I hope this finally disabuses them of that notion.

11. I have never understood the mind set of small business owners....
thinking the Republicans are good for their businesses. For the most part small business is on their own with little or no help from the banking industry or government. Believe me I know because I am one.

7. Huh?
What is is with Republicans that they think that all they have to do is say something to make it so.

9. The "liberal media" echo chamber
If Rush Limbaugh says it, then Faux News says it, then it's gospel - the rest have to catch up to the rhetoric - long before checking out any facts which might blow this out of the water.

12. Whew!!! Thanks for the good news!
I had been really worried, what with oil instability, housing market bubble poised to burst any minute, prices going up faster than my paycheck, having to work two jobs, etc. But I'll sleep much better now, knowing that the wealthy won't have to pay more taxes! :sarcasm:
