Congress.org has decidedly shifted from the dark side

For those of you that don't check out congress.org from time to time I highly suggest it. I love sending emails to Bush... but not for him to read. I love knowing that freepers are reading them. Before Katrina, the site was FILLED with emails of praise toward Bush and his cronies. Now you see an occasional rightie blaming the media but most of the emails are great to read.

Here's my email today:

Subject:
Brown is still employed by FEMA?
To:
President George Bush
September 27, 2005
CNN just reported that Brownie is being paid $145,600 in his new FEMA consulting role.
This is a slap in the face to the entire Gulf region. Shame on you and shame on your entire administration.
Brown blatantly lied by saying Blanco didn't declare a disaster for the entire state of Louisiana. The request is posted on the Governor's website.
All of your cronyism is going to come back to haunt you.
I'm glad to see you're wasting more gas going to worthless photo-ops and then have the nerve to tell people to conserve. I'm sure Cheney almost had a heart attack when he heard that.
Please resign.
Sincerely,
Minneapolis , MN

Still there are examples of freeptards that just don't get it. All they have left is blaming the media:

Rep. Peter King

THANK YOU!!!! I can not thank you enough for setting the record straight regarding the local, state, and federal responses to the disaster caused by hurricane Katrina. I am thrilled to see that my party has at least one man who will stand up to the deception of the main stream media aka the media wing of the DNC.
God Bless You.

Dear Mr President:
Your are a man with integrity and vision. I have voted for you in the last two elections, and I am glad I did.
You have constantly shown what a man of character in the White House can accomplish. No matter what the media says the vast majority of Amercians trust and believe in you!
I would start taking the media and democrats for the lies that they say about you. Sometimes I don't understand why you don't. I do see that you are always vindicated.

1. I've gone over there for a while now
and the change has been noticeable for some time. The tide, at least, has turned. There are more anti-BushCo than pro-Bushco every day now.

3. Not sure I have the guts
Dear Mr. President,
I can honestly say I cannot think of one good thing you have done for this country. The platitudes and constant reiteration of the words liberty, tyrany and democracy are empty when all your policies are centered around giving the national treasury to all your friends. Repealing the Davis-Bacon Act was perhaps the most blatant abuse of power that I have ever seen. If you sincerely want to help the people of the Gulf Coast to rebuild their lives, give them appropriate wages and find some other cost-cutting plan. Perhaps the missing $8 billion dollars not accounted for in Iraq’s reconstruction would be a good start. I am counting the days until you are impeached. I’m sure the people of Iraq love that you have made their home into a breeding ground for terrorists. You may think you can buy off the American media, but not the international media and certainly not the international community which sees you for what you are: a bully.

I had to take out the "I can't wait til we throw you in the slammer, the world will be a safer place."
